Dr. Gregory J. Kent M.D.
Gregory J. Kent, M.D., has been practicing in the Treasure Valley since 1991.
He received his undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State
University in 1982, and then went on to earn his doctorate from
Temple University Medical School. Upon completion of medical school,
Dr. Kent accepted an internship with Allentown Affiliated Hospitals
in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Following this internship, he completed
his ophthalmology training in 1990 at St. Vincents Regional

Dr. Kent has developed a well-established and broad-based practice
serving a patient base from Mountain Home to Ontario, with three
conveniently located offices. He has earned the reputation of a
talented and compassionate surgeon, specializing in refractive and
cataract surgery. His caring and knowledgeable staff adds another
level of patient confidence that is becoming almost impossible to
find in todays changing world of medicine.
After enjoying the success of his own refractive procedure, Dr.
Kent began his refractive program in 1999. Since then, he has completed
over 2000 procedures, and has become one of Idahos leading
and busiest refractive surgeons. Not only have Dr. Kents technical
skills and attention to detail played a key role in his patients
refractive surgery success, but also his ability, as a refractive
patient himself, to take on the patient perspective and communicate
accordingly makes his practice stand out above the rest. Many members
of his refractive team have also been refractive patients.
Dr. Kent is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
the Idaho Medical Association, the Idaho Ophthalmology Society,
as well as the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Aside from his medical profession, he has a love for the outdoors
with interests in fly-fishing, hunting, and golfing. His greatest
joy however, is reserved for his wife Kimberly and their four children:
